Juliet Westoll MBE, DL

Juliet was born in Suffolk in 1956. She married Richard Westoll, a Cumbrian farmer in 1981, and they have two children and five grandchildren.

Juliet founded and ran Cumbria Women of the Year for 20 years and is now its Patron. She is also a Patron of Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland, a Divisional Vice President for the NSPCC, a Trustee for The Cumbria Churches Trust, and President and Trustee of the Carlisle Branch of Riding for the Disabled.

She is also a strong supporter of her local church, Kirkandrews on Esk, a keen gardener, and a very hands-on granny. Juliet was High Sheriff of Cumbria in 2012/2013 and sat on the national High Sheriffs’ Association Council for six years.

Juliet was awarded an MBE for services to Cumbria in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2010. She was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant in 2011.
