Richard Ogden MBE, DL
Richard Ogden has devoted his career to public service and, more recently, to charitable and NGO work that focuses on improving lives and creating sustainable change. His efforts span both the UK and international contexts, with a particular emphasis on youth development, sustainability, and community resilience.
He is actively involved with several charities and foundations, where he provides strategic guidance and practical support to initiatives that empower people, broaden opportunities, and foster long-term positive outcomes. His work brings together a focus on sustainability with a commitment to building stronger, more inclusive communities, ensuring that charitable projects deliver meaningful and lasting impact.
In recognition of his contributions, Richard was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2024 for services to charitable causes and community development.
As a Deputy Lieutenant of Cumbria, he is committed to supporting the voluntary sector, celebrating the achievements of local people,
and encouraging initiatives that improve lives while promoting sustainable futures.
